If you remember I painted a custom order of a Horde Box for a WOW fan a while back. Now I finally will share the inside of the box lid.

Sometimes I get a really interesting custom order. This one was a surprise. Most people like the 'mainstream' monsters from BBC's Doctor Who and look for Daleks, weeping angels, cybermen, or even oods. However some folks just fall in love with one of the more obscure 'creatures'. This one is based on the Toclafane- a 'race' controlled by the MASTER. They were once human- but no longer- now they are a 'head' inside a metal sphere. EEK! Mine don't have a head in them- just lots of fiberfill. There are times when one gets to create something in a giant size. This year I had a request of a large version of my R2-D2 Santa hat. Take a look at what an oversized hat looks like! 
Who wears such a large hat? A life-sized R2-D2 of course!
It is that time of the year to share what the most popular items are in our shops. Because they take quite a bit of time to make we work all summer long to have enough for the Fall/Winter season.            Just a few days ago I received an order for a custom messenger bag. My customer wanted a specific size and painted design. So I made it- even the pattern- from scratch. Here is how it happened:              Jenna is also an artist- but has had the fun of art squished out of her from art school. WHO TARDIS TOTE lasted only 23 minutes on ETSY!  A different TARDIS TOTE is located now on ETSY- follow the link! I'm having a ball painting 6 tiny t-rexes for a client in NYC. I am painting these on hardwood disks to be made into pendants. Each t-rex is the person's favorite color and has something with it that represents the Lovey Lady who is going to recieve them as gifts. What are our best selling items? The Golden Snitch crocheted out of yellow yarn and with a handmade hanger (7 sold). Hermione Granger's Hat from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (5 sold). |
